Kentucky State Dinner

Southern fried chicken and cream gravy
Mashed potatoes
Spicy green beans
Milk (official state drink)
Blackberry cobbler

Colonel Sanders perfected his fried chicken recipe in Corbin, Kentucky, during the 1930s. His endeavor was so successful that in 1936 the governor of Kentucky granted Sanders the honorary title of Colonel. The blackberry was voted the official state fruit of Kentucky in 2004 and milk was voted the official state beverage in 2005.
